About Me

Hi, my name is Devendra Rao and I started this website to help educate parents and teachers who care about their children’s or pupils safety on the Internet but lack the computer skills or are unfamiliar with computing technologies. Our kids especially teenagers inadvertently fall prey to the bad guys in cyberspace. Unfortunately either the parents are blissfully unaware or realize it too late when the damage is already done. This website is intended to offer practical steps to ensure that your children or pupils enjoy its advantage while exercising safe strategies during their online sessions.

In my professional career of over 15 years, I have worked as a Systems Security Administrator for a financial corporate for the last 8 years, and I think it is my duty to pass on my knowledge, expertise and education to parents who always want the best for their children and ferociously guard them against any sort of danger (as I do for my kids). So I have taken upon myself the role of Educator when it comes down to safety practices that everyone should be aware of when dealing with Social media and the Internet.

Finally I don’t see myself as an Expert ( as I strongly believe that there is always something to learn and improve upon), rather I see myself in the humble role of a Parent Advocate and a Cyber-Security Evangelist. My sole Focus is to help Parents and Educators communicate effectively with kids about Internet usage and enable each child to become a responsible member of the digital community.
